• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Coordinate unit activities and assure accountability of all assigned tasks.
• Instruct and educate patients and family members.
• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient conditions using computerized documentation systems.
• Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well‑coordinated patient care.
• Coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
• Provide care in the Mother/Baby & Postpartum unit (36 hours per week, rotating weekends/holidays, 7p‑7a night shift; self‑scheduling available).

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia (Board of Health Professions).
• Registered Nurse with “multi‑state privilege” granted by a state participating in the Nurse Licensure Compact and who has not established permanent residency in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Newborn Resuscitation certification obtained within 12 months of start date.
• Previous Mother Baby/Newborn Nursery or related RN experience preferred.
• Willingness to work Mother/Baby & Postpartum unit.
