American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2-3 years of ER experience and TNCC certification.

• Emergency Department setting with 27 beds and high patient volume
• Staffing includes charge RNs, RNs, and medics across day and night shifts
• Patient ratios range from 4-6:1
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Day shift (7:00 AM-7:00 PM) schedule within a 13-week assignment
• Weekend requirement of four weekend shifts per four-week scheduling period (Friday or Saturday nights; Saturday or Sunday days)
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating required

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Preferred certifications: ENPC, NRP, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2-3 years of ER experience required
• Must have completed 2-3 prior travel assignments
• Experience in high acuity, fast-paced, high-volume ERs preferred
• Experience with 5:1 patient ratios preferred

• Perform emergency care procedures including RSI, sepsis interventions, stroke protocol with tPA administration, and central line placement
• Provide care for psychiatric patients and coordinate EMTALA-compliant transfers to other facilities
• Team environment values a relaxed, friendly, and collaborative personality fit
• Scrub color/attire requirement: navy blue or white
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
