Order Selector – BGDC Distribution
Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Order Selector is responsible for the safe and accurate receipt, storage, selection, and shipment of food products. This role utilizes powered industrial equipment—including motorized pallet jacks, stand‑up forklifts, straddle trucks, walk‑behinds, double/triple pallet jacks, and RF scanning/headset systems—to pick and assemble orders while maintaining safety and production standards.
Pay$23.50–$26.50/hr with a daily performance incentive that allows you to earn up to an additional $15/hr based on order completion rate.
Hours2nd Shift 3:00 PM–1:00 AM, four days a week (including weekends).

Essential Functions- Load and unload freight safely and efficiently using appropriate equipment.
- Move, stack, and store product in designated locations using proper material‑handling equipment.
- Pick and assemble customer orders accurately to meet shipment requirements.
- Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking tasks as needed.
- Participate in physical inventories and assist with product counts.
- Remove shrink wrap and prepare pallets for processing when necessary.
- Operate all equipment safely and efficiently, including stand‑up forklifts, straddle trucks, walk‑behinds, motorized pallet jacks, double pallet jacks, and RF equipment.
- Report all equipment malfunctions, damage, or safety concerns immediately.
- Conduct all operations in compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
- Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
- Check and count freight for accuracy, damage, or infestation.
- Meet or exceed production and selection standards across all warehouse departments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free work environment.
- Ensure proper documentation and adherence to warehouse procedures.
- Follow attendance policies and report to work on time and ready for the assigned shift.
- Charge or change equipment batteries as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental and company objectives.
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, high‑volume warehouse environment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines and accuracy standards.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others, respond professionally to feedback, and handle difficult situations appropriately.
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and related technologies preferred.
- Experience operating a motorized pallet jack required; other PIT experience preferred.
- Occasional overtime, evening, or weekend work may be required.
- High school diploma or GED preferred, or at least one (1) year of related warehouse experience.
