Radiologic Technologist / CT Tech
The Mammography Technologist performs diagnostic/therapeutic examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician. The technologist performs diagnostic imaging effectively on patient populations served in the clinic setting and exhibits superior levels of customer service. The technologist maintains continuing education and appropriate clinical procedures as required by FDA, and ACR. The technologist explains procedures and answers questions for the patient. The technologist demonstrates appropriate patient positioning to obtain optimum views of specified anatomy.
The technologist adjusts equipment controls to set proper protocol based on knowledge of the procedure and established guidelines. The technologist assists with diagnostic imaging and the clinic physicians, when necessary. The technologist interacts with numerous computer programs and systems on a daily basis.
- Graduate from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
- One year mammography experience preferred
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R) Radiography, (M) Mammography and (LRT) Licensed Radiologic Technologist
- Basic Life Support certification will be accepted from either American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Health Care Provider, or Basic Life Support (American Heart Association-Health Care Provider), or successfully completes within the first 90 days of employment.
