Sanitation Associate I – Schwan's Company

Starting Pay: $17.50 per hour

Shift Differential: $2.00 for hours 3 pm–6 am

Shift: 3rd

Hours: 12 am–7:30 am (full‑time)

This is a full‑time position at our manufacturing facility. You will often work overtime or weekend shifts and may be asked to complete a post‑offer background check and drug screen.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred); 0–1 year of related experience preferred
• Basic math skills and effective communication
• Knowledge of facility cleaning, safety procedures, and ability to comply with OSHA rules and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Ability to work various hours, including full‑time, overtime, and weekend shifts
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required: bump cap, safety glasses/goggles, face shield, ear plugs, hair and beard nets, gloves, and safety shoes or rubber boots

• Operate steam and high‑pressure hoses to clean and sanitize equipment, tools, and the facility
• Follow instructions and procedures for cleaning and sanitation
• Work as part of a team and take direction from others
• Work in various environments that may be hot, cold, wet, dry, and noisy
• Operate COP tank cleaning equipment to clean disassembled equipment
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment as directed
• Follow sanitation schedules and document routine cleaning of the facility and production line
• Use and document chemical usage at stated concentrations and apply them appropriately
• Verify and document that correct chemicals and concentrations are used and that cleaning and sanitizing are complete to meet micro‑indicator tests
• Conduct yourself consistently with the company mission, values, code of ethics, and policies
