The primary responsibilities include housekeeping duties, spill response for solid, hazardous, and recyclable wastes, and inspection and cleaning of personal protective equipment (PPE). The plant is located in Salina, KS, with employees also residing in neighboring towns such as Concordia, Ellsworth, Herrington, and McPherson.

Starting Pay: $18.06

B Shift: Night – Sun‑Tues, every other Wed

• Handling, packaging, and disposal of trash, recyclable materials, and hazardous wastes or chemicals, including operation of trash compactors.
• Inspection and cleaning of personal protective equipment.
• Operate floor scrubber.
• Cleaning break rooms, locker rooms, restrooms, and office areas.
• Audit waste collection containers for proper condition, storage, marking, labeling, and transport to disposal areas.
• Perform respirator fit testing for employees as required.
• Comply with current Quality Systems requirements.
• Understand and communicate in simple English to receive training instruction and perform team responsibilities.
• Follow Excell Lean Manufacturing procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• Basic reading, writing, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Experience using a personal computer for basic word processing and spreadsheets.

• Physically fit for continuous standing, walking, sitting, bending, twisting, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Physically capable of wearing personal protective equipment—including gloves, respirators, safety glasses, and steel‑toed shoes—according to established policy.
• Physically capable of occasionally working in extreme conditions (hot, humid, cold).

Janitorial equipment, respirator fit testing equipment, and personal protective equipment as required.
