Executive Pastor; First Southern Baptist Church

First Southern Baptist Church in Salina, Kansas is prayerfully and excitedly seeking an Executive Pastor to join our church. FSBC is an intergenerational church with two other full-time pastors and averages around 220 on Sunday mornings. The Lord continues to grow our church, and we are excited for the days ahead.

Salina, Kansas is in north-central Kansas with a population close to 50,000 people. Located at the intersection of interstates 70 and 135, Salina is around 1.5 hours from Wichita, Kansas and just under 3 hours from Kansas City.

• Administrative/Executive Work
  • This includes our committees, policies, Constitution/bylaws, potentially moderating some of the business meetings, and other administrative work as needs arise.
• Small Group Ministry
  • This includes our Life Group Ministries, overseeing our Sunday School Ministries (youth-adult), Focus Groups (i.e. Dave Ramsey Financial Peace classes), and our Brotherhood Ministry (this is our men’s fellowship/discipleship group)
• Serve as our AWANA Commander
• Oversee our Greeting/First Impressions Ministry
• Other work as deemed necessary by our Senior Pastor

The ideal candidate is one who is a self-starter, a continual learner, flexible, easy-going, and hard-working; but above all, loves Jesus with all his heart, soul, and mind, and has a passion for serving Christ’s church.

A seminary degree is preferred but required.

• $5,000 ministry reimbursement account
• $300 health and wellness account
• $150 monthly retirement contribution (The church automatically contributes $50 a month. If the pastor will contribute $50 towards retirement himself, the church will match the additional $50, for a total of $150 a month)
• Starts with 2 weeks’ vacation
