Job SummaryA Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing direct nursing care to residents, supervising day‑to‑day nursing activities performed by LPNs and nursing assistants, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing long‑term care. The RN works to create a resident‑centered environment and to model person‑centered care.
Responsibilities- Providing direct nursing care to residents.
- Supervising LPNs and nursing assistants.
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Advancing resident‑first value and fostering a home‑like atmosphere.
- Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited college or university or be a graduate of an approved RN program.
- Must possess a current active license to practice as an RN in this state.
- Previous supervisory experience in a hospital, long‑term care community, or other related health‑care facility preferred.
- Geriatric nursing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, and laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long‑term care.
