- Certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/RN

- Enhancing the clinical care and quality of life of our residents and ensuring that all resident rights are protected.
- Preparing and administering medications as ordered by the physician.
- Checking all residents daily to ensure prescribed treatment is properly administered and evaluating their physical and emotional status.
- Keeping the RN Supervisor informed about the status of residents, staff and related matters.
- Implementing recommended changes directed by the RN Supervisor or the Director of Nursing.
- Administering professional services such as catheterization, tube feeding, suction, dressing changes, colostomy and drainage bag management, taking blood, sputum and urine specimens, etc.
- Completing all required record‑keeping forms/charts upon admission, discharge, transfer, etc.
- Giving and receiving nursing reports during shift changes.
- Investigating complaints and grievances and reporting to RN Supervisor or Director of Nursing.
- Presenting a professional image to residents and families through dress, behavior and speech.
- Adhering to our policies and standards.
