Qualifications & Details:
  • Certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/RN
  • A caring & loving personality and demeanor
  • Leadership and mentorship skills
  • The ability to work your scheduled shift
  • The ability to read, write & speak English
Responsibilities:
  • Enhancing the clinical care and quality of life of our residents and ensuring that all resident rights are protected.
  • Preparing and administering medications as ordered by the physician.
  • Checking all residents daily to ensure prescribed treatment is properly administered and evaluating their physical and emotional status.
  • Keeping the RN Supervisor informed about the status of residents, staff and related matters.
  • Implementing recommended changes directed by the RN Supervisor or the Director of Nursing.
  • Administering professional services such as catheterization, tube feeding, suction, dressing changes, colostomy and drainage bag management, taking blood, sputum and urine specimens, etc.
  • Completing all required record‑keeping forms/charts upon admission, discharge, transfer, etc.
  • Giving and receiving nursing reports during shift changes.
  • Investigating complaints and grievances and reporting to RN Supervisor or Director of Nursing.
  • Presenting a professional image to residents and families through dress, behavior and speech.
  • Adhering to our policies and standards.
