- Provide the highest level of customer service, technical ability, and quality to our customers
- Install, maintain, and repair most standard refrigeration units for commercial customers such as reach-in coolers and freezers, beverage dispensers, walk-in coolers and freezers and rack units
- Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of the commercial refrigeration systems
- Travel to job sites in assigned service area and work with assigned Dispatcher(s) to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customers
- Available to work nights and weekends on a rotating basis to address emergency service needs for customers
- Maintain good working order of company vehicle, including cleaning and organizing, and washing vehicle a minimum of once per week
- Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment upon arrival, including make, model, serial number, type of fuel, and pictures as necessary
- Document details of services and parts provided to customers electronically through company-provided cell phone and/or iPad applications
- Diagnose a variety of service issues, obtain necessary replacement parts, calibrate systems according to manufacturer specifications, and clearly communicate issues and recommended solutions to the client
- Participate in company-provided training opportunities and adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Identify and report potential opportunities for additional business to management
- Follow all environmental regulations, including the handling and disposal of refrigerants, in accordance with EPA guidelines
- Other related duties as assigned
- EPA Certification
- Specific Industry Certification/License
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ Years of recent HVAC/R Technician field experience required
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities
- In-depth knowledge of refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Proficient in reading schematics, work plans, and using diagnostic tools, refrigerant recovery equipment, and specialized instruments
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Advanced understanding of air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration principles
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
- Ability to travel to assigned client sites
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
