We are a K‑12 school in Salinas, CA seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a contract position lasting the current school year. This role is ideal for an educator committed to supporting students with diverse learning needs in an inclusive, collaborative environment.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education, an active Special Education Teacher license, and a minimum of 1+ years of Special Education teaching experience are required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students’ unique requirements.
- Utilize specialized instructional strategies to promote academic growth and social development.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure a cohesive educational approach.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies to meet evolving needs.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all relevant education laws and guidelines.
- Valid Special Education teaching credential.
- Experience working with K‑12 students with varying disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws and instructional best practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to create a supportive, engaging classroom atmosphere.
