Occupational Therapist – Inpatient & Outpatient

About the Facility
You’ll be working in a non-profit, community-based acute care hospital that serves a rural region with essential healthcare services. As a Critical Access Hospital (CAH), it provides a vital healthcare lifeline to residents in the area, with a strong emphasis on compassionate care, continuity, and patient-centered rehabilitation across multiple service lines—including acute, swing bed, skilled nursing, and outpatient therapy

About the Role
Your daily responsibilities will include treating a varied caseload across hospital-based and outpatient settings
. Providers typically split time between inpatient (AM) and outpatient (PM), depending on patient volume.
Strong communication and flexibility are critical to success in this dynamic role.
Schedule:
- Full-time
:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch) - Occasional half-day Saturday (once/month), with half-day off during the week to preserve a 40-hour workweek
Patient Volume & Demographics:
- 8–12 patients per day
, depending on comorbidities, acuity, and level of involvement - Treat a wide range of conditions including:
- Orthopedic injuries and post-surgical recovery
- Developmental delays
- Stroke (CVA), Parkinson’s, spinal cord injury, and trauma
- Pediatrics to geriatrics
Support & Environment:
- Supported by 2 rehab techs (with plans to hire a third)
- Work in a collaborative, modern setting featuring:
- Private treatment rooms
- Shared workspace
- A full rehab gym
- A brand-new Pediatrics Clinic launching soon
Compensation & Benefits
- $5,000 Sign-On Bonus (paid on Day 2 of employment)

Qualifications & Requirements
- Education
:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy (Master’s preferred) - License
:
Active California Occupational Therapist license - Preferred Skills
:- Ability to assess patient and family needs and create individualized care plans
- Familiarity with Medicare standards and documentation requirements
- Understanding of accreditation and regulatory compliance
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Affiliation with AOTA recommended
