About the RoleJRG Attorneys at Law is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Legal Assistant to support our Litigation Department. The Litigation Legal Assistant will provide essential administrative and organizational support to attorneys and paralegals handling complex civil litigation matters. This role offers hands‑on exposure to litigation procedures, court filings, and case management within a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to litigation attorneys and paralegals
- Assist with preparing, proofreading, and formatting pleadings, correspondence, and legal documents
- File documents with state and federal courts (including e‑filing)
- Maintain case files, both electronic and physical
- Manage calendaring of court deadlines, hearings, and internal reminders
- Coordinate service of process and manage incoming discovery materials
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
- Support trial preparation, hearings, and mediations as needed
- Prior experience as a legal assistant or in a litigation support role preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Professional, dependable, and team‑oriented work style
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal practice management systems
- California litigation experience and familiarity with court rules is a plus
