Project Manager - HCAI, Salinas​/Monterey Area

Overaa Construction, a highly reputable general contractor established in 1907 and based in Richmond, CA, is hiring a Project Manager. This role will lead projects at a location in the Salinas/Monterey area.

Seeking a high‑potential candidate with 5–7 years of experience in healthcare and related construction fields. The Project Manager is the quarterback of a team responsible for delivering construction projects on time, within budget, and in line with Overaa’s safety and quality standards.

• Responsible for tactical project execution, including project approach and deliverables.
• Direct and motivate personnel and trade partners to complete the project on schedule, within budget, and with quality craftsmanship.
• Manage administrative and contractual obligations including owner contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
• Conduct business development activities and build strategic partnerships with key client accounts.
• Attend conferences, trade shows, and community events.
• Participate in project pursuits, leading proposal strategy, estimating, presentations, interviews, and pre‑construction services.
• Promote job‑site safety and encourage safe work practices; complete all Overaa safety training as required.

• Responsible for risk management related to project execution.
• Develop job‑specific buyout strategy with the Project Executive and estimating team.
• Create project budgets, cost control, change management, manpower and resource planning, and financial projections.
• Lead master scheduling in collaboration with the superintendent and trade partners.
• Implement quality control, safety, and environmental programs.
• Communicate with project stakeholders on issues and recommend resolutions.
• Direct, supervise, and coach Project Engineers, Field Engineers, Team Coordinators, and Project Accountants.
• Study the prime contract with the owner to understand rights and obligations.
• Adhere to notice provisions of the prime contract to preserve rights and reduce risk.
• Reports to Project Executive.

• 5 years of relevant project experience across all phases of construction.
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• Organized with a systematic approach to achieve high‑level results.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage diverse personalities.
• Expertise in QSP, SWPPP, LEED, and sustainability is a plus.
• Knowledge of Procore, Plan Grid, Bluebeam, Revit, Sketch Up, AutoCAD, Primavera, Navisworks, Microsoft Project, and Viewpoint is a plus; excellent written and oral communication skills.
