Works under the supervision of the Director. The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individualized care in a patient care area according to departmental policies and procedures and Nurse Practice Act. She/he will individualize patient care based on age and developmental needs and will accept responsibility for directing co-workers in implementing the plan of care. Collaborates with physicians, patients/families, and healthcare team members in delivering care.

Utilizes positive communication skills. May be required to work on other nursing units based on staffing and patient needs. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care for patients on the unit.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Licenses: Current California RN license. Current BLS and ACLS Healthcare Provider status per American Heart Association standards.

Experience: Must have successfully completed SVMH Pharmacology test.

The hourly rate for this position is $79.73 - $96.90. The displayed range reflects the target salary for new hires.
