. In this position you will support pharmacy teams in delivering operational and service excellence within our retail locations.
As a Pharmacy Technician you support the pharmacy team by ensuring prescriptions are filled promptly, safely and accurately. You are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, assisting them with empathy and genuine care while contributing to a safe and inclusive culture.
Responsibilities- Follow all company SOPs at each workstation to help pharmacists manage and improve patient health.
- Execute pharmacy workflow procedures for production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, and drop‑off to ensure accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Provide positive patient experiences by offering personalized moments, immunizations, and handling patient inquiries over the phone.
- Complete inventory activities such as putting away medication deliveries, cycle counts, returns‑to‑stock, and waiting‑bin inventories.
- Collaborate with a high-performing team, embrace a growth mindset, and seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge.
- Remain flexible with scheduling, travel to supporting stores as needed, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team dynamic.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and CVS policies to protect patient safety and privacy.
- Deliver additional patient health care services such as immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, and off‑site clinic support where authorized.
- Complete additional licensure and training required for Technician Immunizer status.
- Educate patients about vaccines and refer vaccine questions to the on‑duty pharmacist.
- Monitor and report adverse reactions per public health requirements.
- Track and document patient information for each vaccine administered.
- Manage vaccine supplies.
- Meet all state board of pharmacy requirements for age, education, and licensure/certification.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent; if under 18, be at least 16 years old.
- State‑level licensure and national certification as required.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Complete required training within designated time frames.
- Customer Service and Team Orientation
- Actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner.
- Notice and respond to patient reactions appropriately.
- Communication Skills
- Use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with patients and colleagues.
- Practice active listening and ask clarifying questions.
- Mathematical Reasoning
- Apply math to determine total tablets, day’s supply, and bottle counts for prescriptions.
- Problem Resolution
- Identify challenging interactions and choose the best resolution path.
- Physical Demands
- Remain mobile, upright, and capable of lifting and extending arms for extended periods.
- Frequently lift up to 10 lbs and occasionally up to 20 lbs.
- Use fine motor skills for typing, scanning, and operating machines.
- Any additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager.
- 1‑3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Experience in retail, medical, or customer service settings.
- Ability to work across multiple store locations to meet business needs.

Pay Range$16.00 – $25.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location.
