Are you a people person who enjoys helping others and building relationships? Washtenaw Insurance Services – Farm Bureau is looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our team! We're open to candidates from all backgrounds, whether you're experienced in insurance or looking to start a new career.

This role focuses primarily on personal lines insurance
, helping individuals and families with their auto, home, and other personal insurance needs. If you're friendly, dependable, organized, and eager to learn, we'll provide the training and support you need to succeed.

No insurance experience? No problem! If you're hired without a license, we'll cover the cost of obtaining the required insurance licensing. Already licensed? We offer a higher base salary for already-licensed candidates!

• Help customers with questions about their personal insurance policies and coverage.
• Build positive relationships with clients and provide friendly, responsive service.
• Assist with policy changes, renewals, billing questions, and general account needs.
• Explain insurance options and help customers understand their coverage.
• Identify opportunities to review coverage and recommend additional protection when appropriate.
• Communicate with customers by phone, email, and other channels.
• Maintain accurate customer records and documentation.
• Work with the team to ensure customers receive timely, helpful service.

• A friendly, customer-focused attitude and a genuine desire to help people.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Good organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
• Dependability and a willingness to learn new systems and processes.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Previous customer service, administrative, retail, or insurance experience is helpful, but not required

• An active insurance license is a plus, but unlicensed candidates are encouraged to apply

• Base hourly wage determined by your experience, + opportunities for commissions.
