Forklift Driver – Day Shift

MMI Engineered Solutions is seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented forklift driver to join our manufacturing team in Saline, MI. The role is essential to keeping production and assembly areas running smoothly by ensuring proper packaging is available, finished parts are moved efficiently, and quality standards are consistently met.

• Safely operate forklift and follow company safety procedures.
• Deliver packaging and materials to work centers and assembly areas before startup.
• Move finished products from production to the Pack & Scan area for labeling, scanning, and warehouse transfer.
• Operate forklift to transport materials and ensure proper placement in storage areas.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support cycle counts/inventory control.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with 5S/Lean practices.
• Report and address quality or packaging issues promptly.

• Minimum 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment, including forklift operation and scanner equipment.
• Strong organizational skills with proven ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Computer literacy (spreadsheets, word processing, databases).
• Demonstrated accuracy in handling inventory, documentation, and lot number verification.
• Ability to work independently as a self‑starter and as part of a team.

Monday through Wednesday 6‑hour shifts, alternating Thursday/Friday or Saturday/Sunday 12‑hour shifts.

• Fast‑paced manufacturing setting with regular interaction between production, warehouse, and assembly teams.
• Requires regular forklift use, movement of packaging materials, and handling of finished goods.
• Physical activity includes lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to maintaining safety, cleanliness, and organization at all times.

• Starting pay $18‑20 per hour.
