Summary

Perdue Transportation is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and high-energy Recruiting Coordinator to join our team in Salisbury, MD. The coordinator will be responsible for administering our Social Media Recruitment campaigns across various platforms. They will work closely with the Recruitment team to enhance the candidate experience, including interview scheduling, drug screens, background checks, and other pre-employment screens as needed, and provide administrative and clerical support for driver training, associate relations, and the transportation department.

This position works closely with Fleet Safety to ensure Federal DOT compliance, including pre-employment checks for current Company Drivers and previous Associates.

Principal and

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and maintain transportation’s weekly and monthly social media job postings, including candidate and invoice management across platforms such as Facebook, Indeed, etc.
  • Assist in creating a best-in-class candidate experience during the recruitment process, including candidate travel, offer letter development, background checks, and drug screens.
  • Assist with position data requests related to new hire orientations, promotions, and transfers.
  • Provide recruiting reporting as requested by the Complex HR Manager and Operations Team.
  • Complete DOT employment verification requests.
  • Coordinate and execute career fair scheduling and logistics, including sign-up, ordering supplies, and prepping attendees.
  • Maintain Driver Qualification folder requirements in accordance with DOT and Fleet Safety expectations.
  • Assist Fleet Safety with DOT compliance for Company Drivers (physical, license, and completed documents in Datasense).
  • Assist Operations/HR with brand awareness in different driver/fleet maintenance markets.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support for driver training, safety compliance, and associate relations.
  • Maintain driver safety and compliance files.
  • Establish and maintain correspondence with drivers and internal and external customers.
  • Update and maintain  for applicants and current associates.
  • Administer driver and leadership uniform and boot purchasing.
  • Track and manage Ride Along process and forms.
  • Assist with event planning and events as requested.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Education

Required:

  • High School Degree or equivalent

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
Experience
  • 2+ years of administrative experience
  • Ability to multitask
  • Familiarity with various Social Media Platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with various levels of personnel tactfully
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Highly detail-oriented and able to follow up in a timely manner and prioritize in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Desire to learn and take additional training as needed for Social Media Recruitment
Decision-making Responsibilities

The Recruiting/Compliance Coordinator will need to make decisions based on company policy and process as it relates to job postings and maintain OFCCP compliance.

Environmental Factors and

Physical Requirements

Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies, and equipment.

May be exposed to temperatures of 28°F to 100°F with both ambient and 100% humidity.

Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.

Compensation Data

This position has a target wage of $20.80 – $26.00 per hour, based on shift, experience, and qualifications with an annual bonus available (variable depending on performance). Overtime may be available.
