Hospice​/Palliative Medicine Physician

Tidal Health on Maryland's coast is seeking a Hospice and Palliative Care Physician to join our growing, interdisciplinary Palliative Medicine team. This unique opportunity combines clinical excellence with academic responsibilities, offering the chance to serve as faculty for our newly established ACGME-accredited Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program.

As a faculty physician, you will play an essential role in mentoring fellows, developing curriculum, and enhancing clinical education while delivering compassionate, high-quality palliative care across a variety of settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive hospice and palliative care in inpatient, outpatient, and home-based settings.
• Serve as core faculty for the Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program.
• Participate in the education, supervision, and mentorship of fellows, residents, medical students, and interdisciplinary learners.
• Collaborate with the program director in curriculum development, didactic teaching, and scholarly activities.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the advancement of the palliative care program.
• Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and coordinate care with hospice, social work, chaplaincy, and other services.

Qualifications:

• MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of MD & DE.
• Demonstrated commitment to medical education and teaching.
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
• Previous academic or fellowship teaching experience preferred but not required.

Compensation:

• Base Salary Range: $254,000 $ 283,000 (commensurate with experience and specialty)
• Eligible for productivity and quality incentives
• Comprehensive benefits package, including health, retirement, malpractice coverage, and CME allowance
