ICU Registered Nurse – Travel Nursing Job in Salisbury, Maryland

ICU RN Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 8, 2025 – December 8, 2025)
• Location:
  
  Salisbury, MD (Eastern Shore, 21801)
• Unit: 8-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (including weekends and holidays)
• Hours:
  
  36 hours per week guaranteed (except during orientation)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780 - $1910
• Employment Type:
  
  Travel Nursing – ICU RN
• Dress Code:
  Navy scrubs
• Orientation:
  Every other week RN orientation (guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation)

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or compact state (in good standing)
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Proficient in managing vasopressors, fibrinolytics, paralytics, and antihypertensives
• CSC (Cardiac Surgery Certification) preferred, but not required
• Permanent address must be outside of 100 miles from Salisbury, MD

ICU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care to adults with critical diagnoses including ARDS, craniotomy, pneumonia, hypothermia, trauma, sepsis, STEMI, and more
• Operate and monitor ICU equipment: computers, vital signs monitors, IV pumps, ventilators, Bipap/Cpap, Vigileo, Swan-Ganz catheter (when floating to CTICU), intra-aortic balloon pump, cooling blanket, hoyer lift, Camino, tube feeding pumps, sequential compression devices, foot pumps, defibrillator, train of four, and doppler
• Independently manage patient assignments with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3
• Float to other critical care units (PCU, CTICU) as needed based on census
• Maintain professional nursing standards and adhere to ICU protocols and hospital policies
