Base pay range

$17.20/hr - $24.94/hr

Choosing Tidal Health means working across three A‑rated hospitals:
Tidal Health Peninsula Regional in Salisbury, Maryland;

The Public Safety Security Officer maintains a safe, secure environment in and around the hospital buildings and grounds, protecting patients, employees, visitors, and their property.

• Completion of the Public Safety Security Officer training program within three (3) months from the date of hire or transfer.

• High School Graduate or G.E.D.

• One-year prior experience in a law enforcement, fire, or security‑related job preferred.
• Must successfully undergo a comprehensive background and character investigation.
• Valid driver's license and verification of insurability under Tidal Health's automobile insurance plan.

• May be assigned to a permanent day, evening, or night shift.
• Usually scheduled off every third weekend.
• May be requested to work overtime on occasion.

• Eligible for benefits when working at least 36 hours per pay period for 12‑hour shifts, or at least 37.5 hours for non‑12‑hour shifts, and for part‑time members working at least 30 hours or more on weekends.
