Unarmed Security Guard - Part Time at Chesapeake Shipbuilding.

Job Type: Part-time, Non-Exempt

Reports to: Security Manager

• Competitive Pay – $18.00 per hour plus $2.00 shift differential for evening and night shifts.

This part-time position is available Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Benefits are available only upon transition to full-time status.

• Manage the security and safety of the shipyard premises and monitor the front gate and access points.
• Patrol buildings, grounds, and perimeters of the shipyard via golf cart or on foot.
• Investigate suspicious activities and disturbances.
• Immediately report security breaches to designated law enforcement agents.
• Prevent illegal or inappropriate actions by maintaining a high visibility presence.
• Inform personnel and visitors of security procedures.
• Perform all other duties as assigned based on operational needs.

• Maryland Security Guard Card.
• Physical requirements:
  
  ability to run, climb, walk on uneven terrain, lift up to 75 lbs, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions; duties include crawling, kneeling, climbing ladders up to 24 feet, and operating in confined spaces.
• Mental requirements: normal visual and hearing acuity, hand‑eye coordination, and the ability to understand and follow directions.
• Must be able to work over bodies of water.

Weather conditions, fumes, moving mechanical parts, equipment, and vibration.

$18.00 + $2.00 shift differential.
