Installation Technician, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Boiler Technician – Commercial & Industrial Systems
We are seeking a skilled Boiler Technician to diagnose, repair, install, and commission commercial and industrial boiler systems. This role involves hands‑on service work, strong customer interaction, and a high level of technical knowledge in combustion, controls, and mechanical systems.
Salary: $35-$45 DOEKey Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair issues related to boiler controls, accessories, and mechanical components
Perform new machine installations
, start‑ups, upgrades, and repairsConduct preventative maintenance including cleaning, combustion setup, and emissions testing
Troubleshoot and repair boilers, burners, controls, steam systems, and HVACR-related components
Carry out gas conversions
, flame safeguard work, and parallel positioning controlsComplete equipment/system start‑ups according to manufacturer guidelines
Maintain truck stock, procure repair parts, and keep company vehicle clean and safe
Prepare and submit accurate daily service tickets and maintain detailed logs of labor, materials, and tasks
Attend required vendor and company training
Provide excellent customer service and support internal and external stakeholders
Assist in identifying and submitting weekly Technician Leads to the inside service/sales team
Assist in training junior or less experienced technicians
Maintain and update control software; download and back up customer control files
Participate in rotating on‑call (24/7) schedule
Follow all company safety policies –

Perform cross‑training and additional duties as assigned
Education & Experience
High school diploma required
Minimum 2 years of related experience and/or training
Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial boiler room equipment
Experience with:
Programmable Logic Controls (PLC)
Direct Digital Controls (DDC)
Combustion systems and combustion controls
Emissions testing and efficiency analysis
Flame safeguard systems
Steam systems
HVACR systems
Electrical systems and ladder logic
Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with control software (required)
Ability to read electrical drawings, safety rules, operating manuals, and technical instructions
Ability to write reports and communicate clearly with customers and team members
Valid Driver’s License
Apprentice or Journeyman License required
First or Second Grade Engineer License preferred (optional)
