Overview

Case Manager Immigration Bilingual Spanish at The GEO Group, Inc.

Responsibilities
  • Provides case management of Intensive Supervision Appearance Program (ISAP) participants from entry to release, administering DHS contract requirements.
  • Develops and maintains case records, individual service plans, and conducts intake/orientation within contractual time frames.
  • Installs electronic monitoring equipment and monitors compliance; assists participants with travel documents; coordinates translation services.
  • Coordinates with community resources, schedules counseling and legal services, and conducts home visits to verify residence.
  • Evaluates English proficiency, maintains confidentiality, and prepares progress reports; reports program violations timely.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; preferred in Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice or related field.
  • At least two years of customer service or case management experience; experience in law, social work, detention, corrections or multicultural work preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required. Valid driver’s license; ability to pass federal background check; US citizenship and residency requirements.
  • Effective verbal/written communication; ability to interpret rules and prepare reports; sound judgment; ability to handle stressful situations and defuse hostility; attention to detail; basic knowledge of immigration laws; basic computer skills; ability to operate electronic monitoring systems.
  • Must live in the US for 3 of the last 5 years (military or study abroad included).
  • Must be able to travel locally; comfortable with office and field settings.
