To continue our standard of excellence, Piedmont is seeking a motivated, reliable professional to join our team as an Airline Dispatcher in our Flight Operations Department.
The position’s primary responsibility is flight planning and monitoring, considering aircraft performance and loading, en route winds, thunderstorm and turbulence forecasts, airspace restrictions, and airport conditions. All flights require a dispatcher to sign off before they can take the flight. The successful candidate will hold a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Operations.
- Plan and monitor the progress of an aircraft journey using software tools.
- Monitor and advise the flight crew of any circumstances or changes that might affect flight safety.

- FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm in high pressure situations.
- Computer literacy.
- Previous experience as a dispatcher.
- Fast-paced office environment, use of telephones, computers, and other office equipment.
- All shifts including weekdays, weekends, nights, holidays and/or irregular shifts.
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
Employment is contingent upon a clear driving record, 10-year Criminal History Records Check, and drug screen as required. We also require proof of high school or GED completion. Minimum 18 years of age.
Benefit package includes paid training, holiday pay, 401(k), vacation, and family travel on the American Airlines network. Medical and dental available.
Starting Rate $24.53/Hourly
