The Civi Group has partnered with one of the leading family-owned bridge, highway, transit, railroad, and marine contractors in Northern Boston in their search for an Estimator with a specialized background in heavy civil estimating.
As the Estimator, you will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with estimating construction projects, including quantity take-offs, cost management, communication, and budgeting. The role will involve performing field take-offs, communicating with construction teams and subcontractors, preparing RFPs, and analyzing bids.

Compensation- Salary:
Up to approximately $140K based on experience - Benefits:

- Collaborate effectively with project team members.
- Interpret plans and identify construction materials for bidding purposes, with a focus on heavy civil projects.
- Manage project scoping, clarification, and pricing efforts.
- Maintain project lists and vendor database.
- Generate estimates through quantity take-offs and subcontractor/vendor quotes.
- Assist with schedules and estimates as required.
- Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Engineering, or Construction Management preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of heavy civil estimating experience, with a track record in highway, bridge, marine, rail, and trackwork projects.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Strong mathematical and computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment.
