ADay in the Life of a Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA
As a Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA, you help seniors live their best lives within the places they love most. Your assistance with daily tasks allows our clients to live as independently as possible. You approach each job with a positive attitude and cheerful efficiency. Duties may include light housekeeping, meal preparation, or grocery shopping as needed. You may provide caregiving services to clients with cognitive impairments or dementia;
you are patient and kind, assisting with non-medical tasks such as feeding and bathing while maintaining clients’ dignity.
Attentive to detail, you keep a log of the duties you perform during your shift and submit accurate documentation to ensure consistent elderly care. You check in with the office often, providing timely updates regarding client needs. At the end of the day, you take pride in making a difference in the lives of seniors.
Responsibilities- Provide companionship and non-medical care to seniors in their homes.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and light housekeeping.
- Prepare meals and assist with grocery shopping as needed.
- Support clients with personal hygiene and mobility as appropriate.
- Communicate with clients and family members to ensure quality care.
- Document care provided and report changes to the office.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 2+ years of CNA or home care experience preferred; caring for a loved one counts
- Reliable transportation
- Punctual, dependable, compassionate, respectful
- Ability to work flexible hours (day or night shifts; range of 4 to 24 hours per client)
This is a full-time caregiving position with flexible hours. Depending on client needs, shifts may be day or night. Availability ranges from as little as 4 hours to full-time/24-hour coverage.
