Position Reports ToQuality Control Supervisor
Position OverviewEntry level QC technician responsible for conducting standard quality control test methods and process auditing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Adhere to all safety policies
- Understand and follow current good manufacturing practices as defined within procedures
- Understand and follow good documentation practices
- Maintain awareness of ISO 13485
- Understand the manufacturing process from beginning to end
- Understand all QC procedures and be able to perform all QC checks and audits
- Update QC test results in SAP
- Prepare and send the QC shift report
- Prepare test samples and use all QC lab equipment
- Correct handling and disposition of nonconforming product
- Conduct standard analytical test methods after method and equipment training
- Record test data and escalate findings appropriately to supervisor or manager
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Laboratory experience
- Medical device manufacturing experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math at an 8th grade level
- Competency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word

Machines, Tools and Equipment Used- Laboratory measuring equipment (scale, viscometer, pH meter, tensile tester, unwinder, calipers, rulers, beakers, pipettes, etc.)
- Sample preparation equipment (knives, die cutters, roll-down machine, etc.)
- Safety eyewear
- Steel toe safety shoes
- Hairnet
- Cut resistant gloves and chemical gloves as needed
- Hard hat as needed
- Standing: 80% of day
- Sitting: 20% of day
- Moving: throughout plant, 100% of day
- Lifting: up to 25 lbs, 100% of day
- Ascending/Descending: climb stairs and access upper range (approx. 16 ft), 75% of day
- Push/Pull/Reach: up to 1500 lbs as needed, ~10% of day
- Bending: picking objects from floor, 25% of day
- Visual acuity needed for reading printed information and computer screens, 90% of day
- Cognitive: alert, able to make decisions and reason, 100% of day
This job operates in a manufacturing facility. It is a safety-sensitive position and involves working around moving mechanical parts and powered industrial vehicles. The environment can be loud and hot, with high humidity at times.
Shift / HoursShift schedule depends on open positions at hire and will be communicated with new hire paperwork. Weekends and holidays may be required based on business needs. Overtime may be scheduled as needed.
Pay TransparencyThe hourly rate range for this position is $22.00 to $23.00; exact rate depends on experience, skills, education and budget.
