Livingstone College is seeking a dynamic, skilled, and resourceful Adjunct Woodwinds Instructor to join our music faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodwinds performance and pedagogy, with the ability to inspire and instruct students across a range of instruments, including flute, saxophone, and clarinet. This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality, engaging instruction to students of varying skill levels.

Preference will be given to candidates with marching band, jazz, and orchestral experience.

• Teach individual woodwinds lessons to music majors and band members at the undergraduate level.
• Prepare students for recitals, end-of-semester juries, and ensemble performances.
• Record evidence of student progress and assessment using Blackboard, in accordance with program learning outcomes, student learning outcomes, and the quality enhancement plan.
• Demonstrate commitment to growth of the musical arts in the Salisbury community and growth of the Livingstone College Music and Theatre Arts Department.
• Other duties as assigned

• Master’s degree in music, Performance or a related field;
  Doctorate preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to teach a range of woodwind instruments, including but not limited to saxophone, flute, and clarinet.
• Preference given to applicants with significant experience as a performer and teacher in a variety of styles, including marching band and/or jazz combo.
