Whether you spend your day brainstorming in an office cubicle, operating a crane, running manufacturing equipment or troubleshooting technical obstacles, you’ll receive training and support from your team to excel in your role.
What You’ll Do- Effectively monitor and inspect equipment for defects
- Participate in CMC Safety Programs and uphold our safety culture
- Perform repair work using hand tools, power tools and precision tools at various heights or adverse conditions
- Perform building maintenance as required
- Purchase supplies and parts for repair, track purchase requisitions when necessary
- Be willing and able to cross‑train as required
- Attend extensive training regarding applicable equipment
- Maintain good housekeeping, keep equipment and work area clean, maintain tools in good working condition
- Perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance; use computer systems for documentation, time entry, notifications and work orders
- Repair and maintain shop machinery and mechanical equipment (overhead cranes, shears, benders, threaders, forges, induction heaters, welders)
- Work with other technicians on job orders and troubleshooting
- Must be able to work outside under all weather conditions, including heat and cold
- Welding skills preferred
- Ability to read technical documents and service manuals; written communication skills
- Mechanical and electrical orientation with experience in both areas
- Experience servicing and repairing industrial equipment
- Adherence to OSHA, EPA and company safety policies
- Minimum four years of experience in a heavy industrial environment
- Strong work ethic and focus on safety
- Specific knowledge of hydraulics a plus
- Team player in fast‑paced environment, attention to detail, root‑cause analysis
- Proficient with hand, power and precision tools for repair and maintenance
- Ability to work rotating shifts; overtime required as business demands
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders and work outside in all weather conditions
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required
