DescriptionUtility Lines Construction Services is hiring for the position of Overhead Distribution A Line person. The role involves installing and repairing overhead distribution and transmission systems, including poles, cables, and electrical systems. Line Workers also handle underground cables and electrical equipment maintenance.

- Setting poles and anchors, stringing overhead wire
- Installing transformers, lightning arrestors, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches, and switch gear
- Performing construction, maintenance, or repair work on energized and de-energized overhead lines, adhering to safety rules
- Troubleshooting primary and secondary system issues
- Replacing cutout fuses and clearing faulted circuits
- Testing and inspecting tools and equipment daily for safety and efficiency
- Reporting injuries, near misses, and safety concerns
- Other duties related to overhead power supply installation as assigned
- Knowledge of heavy equipment
- Problem-solving skills for unforeseen circumstances
- Experience working with high voltage energized systems
- Ability to climb structures and use climbing tools
- Proficiency with required tools and equipment (e.g., bucket truck, digger derrick, tensioners, puller, etc.)
- At least 4 years of electrical linework experience
- Ability to provide proof of work experience, schooling, and certifications
- Willingness to travel out of state for storm work
- Valid Driver’s License preferred; CDL preferred or willingness to obtain within 90 days
Physical Requirements
- Must meet eyesight and physical endurance standards for hazardous work
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and wear PPE
- Ability to perform physical tasks throughout an 8-10 hour shift
