ADUSA Distribution is the distribution company of Ahold Delhaize USA, providing distribution services to one of the largest grocery retail supply chains in the nation. ADUSA Distribution receives, stores, manages inventory, and ships fresh and non‑perishable product throughout the network of local brand stores. The facility handles fresh, frozen, grocery and health and beauty items, supporting the supply chain network evolution to an integrated self‑distribution model of the future for brands such as Food Lion, Giant Food, The GIANT Company, Hannaford and Stop & Shop.
Primary Purpose
As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for performing distribution center shipping/receiving functions and moving product accurately and safely throughout the Distribution Center.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform shipping and receiving tasks assigned by a supervisor or designee.
- Complete all documents related to shipping and receiving.
- Select and palletize grocery, produce, meat, frozen food, and dairy orders for shipment to retail stores accurately.
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material‑handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform pre‑operational checks of pallet jacks or forklifts according to company policy.
- Maintain sanitation practices; keep the work area clean and free of debris.
- Make recommendations for process improvements that maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs.
Qualifications
- Certified on powered industrial equipment where applicable.
- Ability to use a personal computer for data entry and research.
- Highly motivated self‑starter and team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- High School education.
- Familiarity/experience in a distribution environment.
Preferred Requirements
- Ability to reach, stoop, bend, and lift up to and including 80 lb repetitively.
- Ability to meet production standards set by the company.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to read and understand written and numeric product identifiers.
- Must be able to work the required schedule.
- Work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (e.g., cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks).
