We're looking for a Booking Coordinator to join our busy and friendly Central Booking Team. In this role, you'll provide a professional and efficient booking service for patients and clinical teams, ensuring every patient receives a positive experience.
Using multiple IT systems (including ERS and Lorenzo - training provided), you'll manage patient referrals and appointment bookings, helping guide patients through their care pathway from initial referral to follow-up appointments or surgery.
Working Hours- Monday - Thursday: 08:00 - 18:00
- Friday: 08:00 - 17:30

Main duties of the job- Has experience in a busy call centre, customer care, or high-volume administrative environment
- Is confident handling calls and communicating clearly with patients and colleagues
- Can prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-moving team
- Works well both independently and as part of a supportive team
- GCSE grade C/4 in English Language and Maths
- Experience in the use of Microsoft office and strong aptitude in the use of other programs and administration systems
- Experience working in an administrative environment
- Experience/knowledge of issues of working with confidential information and understanding of need for confidentiality and information governance
- Experience in customer / patient contact
- Recent experience within the NHS
- Able to articulate and express information in a clear, concise and understandable way, both verbally and written to a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to prioritise and organise own workload utilising a learned knowledge of local and national access standards effectively, even while under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Existing knowledge of patient administration processes used within the NHS
- Existing knowledge of NHS policies and procedures
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Salary£25,760 to £27,476 a year per annum pro rata if part time.
