MOT Technician — Training, Career

Our reputable client, a leading automotive service centre with multiple sites across Southern England, is seeking a skilled MOT Technician to join their Salisbury branch. This role offers a competitive starting salary of up to £35,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with performance‑related bonus potential. • Monday to Friday working hours from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, with occasional Saturday shifts (8:30 am‑4:00 pm every other week)

• Conduct MOT tests to Ministry of Transport standards
• Assist with vehicle servicing, repairs, and maintenance as required
• Support workshop operations ensuring compliance with quality standards as a MOT Technician
• Communicate effectively with customers and occasionally support front reception with enquiries
• Ensure high‑quality workmanship within specified time frames
• Maintain workshop safety and adhere to health and safety procedures

• Proven experience as an MOT Technician
• Relevant qualifications or apprenticeships in vehicle maintenance
• MOT licence
• Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Friendly, professional, and approachable manner
• Ability to work efficiently within a team and unsupervised
