The role
As aSolution Lead, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll sit at the forefront of strategic solution development, helping to shape how critical defence support services are delivered in the future. Working across complex stakeholder networks and strategic partnerships, you'll design innovative operating models and integrated service solutions that deliver long-term value for both our customers and the wider defence sector.
This role offers the opportunity to influence major transformation programmes, collaborate with industry-leading experts and make a lasting impact on national security.
Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
- Leading the development of future-state operating models and integrated support solutions for key defence programmes.
- Conducting capability assessments and identifying opportunities to strengthen service delivery through innovation and strategic partnerships.
- Building collaborative relationships with customers, suppliers, alliance partners and senior stakeholders.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, logistics, asset management and supply chain functions to develop cohesive solutions.
- Developing strategic solution documentation, operating model designs and bid artefacts that support business growth and customer outcomes.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Solution Lead
- Experience designing, leading or transforming complex support services, logistics, engineering support or operational delivery models.
- Experience identifying capability gaps and developing future-state operating models and service solutions.
- Experience building and influencing relationships with customers, suppliers, alliance partners and senior stakeholders.
- Strong commercial and strategic awareness with experience supporting bids, business growth activities or large-scale transformation programmes.
- Experience bringing together multiple disciplines such as logistics, supply chain, engineering support, asset management or operational services into integrated customer-focused solutions.
Qualifications for the Solution Lead
- Degree qualified in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Management, Operations Management or a related discipline.
- Chartered professional status or equivalent professional accreditation – desirable
- Professional qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Asset Management or Systems Engineering – desirable
- Experience with in defence, military support or government environments – desirable

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
