📍 Wiltshire | ⏳ 3-month initially | 🚀 ASAP start
💰 £24.23 per hour PAYE / £30.20 per hour Umbrella
🕒 37 hours per week | 🏢 2 days office / 3 days on site
We are looking for an experienced Senior Area Surveyor to join a busy Asset Maintenance Team. This is an excellent opportunity to lead on the maintenance, improvement and long-term condition of a diverse residential property portfolio.
You will provide senior technical expertise, manage projects and contractors, and support the delivery of responsive repairs, planned maintenance and energy efficiency programmes.
Key responsibilities:
* Lead and support a team of Surveyors and technical staff.
* Oversee responsive repairs, planned and cyclical maintenance programmes.
* Identify building defects and provide practical, cost-effective solutions.
* Prepare specifications, scopes of works, estimates and tender documentation.
* Manage projects from inception through to completion.
* Manage contractors, consultants and in-house teams.
* Monitor contract performance and KPIs.
* Manage budgets, valuations and contractor payments.
* Ensure compliance with CDM, HHSRS, building regulations and health and safety legislation.
* Support energy efficiency, sustainability and asset improvement programmes.
* Build strong relationships with residents, contractors and internal stakeholders.
About you:
* Degree in Building Surveying or relevant equivalent experience.
* Professional membership of, or eligibility for, RICS or CIOB.
* Significant experience in building surveying, maintenance or asset management.
* Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.
* Experience managing maintenance contracts, contractors and budgets.
* Strong understanding of CDM Regulations, HHSRS and building compliance.
* Proven project management experience.
* Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills.
