We are seeking motivated and patient-centred General Practitioners to join our new Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC), due to open in Autumn 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to help establish a high-quality urgent care service from its inception, providing assessment, diagnosis and treatment for patients with urgent healthcare needs.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver expert clinical care for patients presenting with minor illnesses and injuries, ensuring they receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time.
Posts are offered on a flexible sessional contract basis; 10:00 to 20:00 hours, seven days a week, including Bank Holidays. A minimum commitment of two sessions per week is required, with working days agreed flexibly to support both service needs and individual availability.

Qualifications
Essential Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
Inclusion in NHS England's Performers ListMRCGP or Certificate from the Joint Committee on Postgraduate Training for General Practice
Experience & Clinical Skills
Essential
Experience of working in a primary care setting, out of hours, or an urgent/emergency care environment (minimum of two years)
Understanding of inequalities in a diverse local population and the impact of healthcare needs
Familiarity / understanding of the local healthcare system
Experience of GP Training/Clinical Supervision
Experience of being able to make autonomous, evidence- based decisions for undifferentiated conditions
Ability to be confident to advise other healthcare professionals on appropriate pathways and clinical management
Management Experience
Essential Ability to perform effectively as a member of a team, including a multidisciplinary team and to motivate and develop staff
