Secondary Maths Teacher (Maternity Cover) - Full-Time - Salisbury 🔢

Zen Educate is seeking a dedicated and resilient Secondary Maths Teacher to cover a full-time maternity post at a specialized school in Salisbury.

This long-term position is due to start around February 2026 and will focus mainly on teaching Maths to Key Stage 3 (KS3) pupils with special educational needs.

The Role:

Specialist Maths Education

You will be joining a highly supportive school environment that caters to secondary-aged pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and associated learning challenges. The focus is on delivering an adapted, engaging, and supportive Maths curriculum to help students re-engage with the subject.

Key responsibilities include:

* Teaching KS3 Maths:
Delivering tailored Maths lessons to small groups of pupils at the Key Stage 3 level, adapting the curriculum to meet varied learning paces and needs.

* Planning & Assessment:
Full responsibility for lesson planning, preparation, and marking for the duration of the cover post.

* Behaviour Support:
Implementing consistent classroom management strategies suitable for pupils with SEMH needs.

* Collaboration:

Working closely with Teaching Assistants and the SEN team to support pupil progress.

What We're Looking For

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK is essential.

* Proven experience teaching Secondary Maths (experience with KS3 highly beneficial).

* Experience or a strong understanding of working with pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly SEMH.

* A resilient, patient, and highly consistent approach to student behaviour and emotional support.

* Commitment to a full-time, long-term cover post starting around February 2026.
