Overview

Electrical Installation Lecturer (Contract)
Wiltshire, Salisbury, site based
£40 to £50 per hour
Part-time contract:
Thursdays and Fridays teaching, Wednesdays allocated for marking assessments

Are you an Electrical Installation professional looking for a part-time contract role with a clearly defined timetable, protected marking hours, and a supportive FE environment?

Do you want to deliver high-quality practical and theory teaching to apprentices and learners, focusing on skills development and assessment without being overloaded with additional duties?

This further education provider is well regarded for its technical programmes and works closely with employers to ensure learners gain real-world skills. The electrical department is structured and organised, providing a stable environment for contract lecturers to focus on delivery, assessment, and learner progress.

This contract role is designed to provide clear, structured teaching and assessment support. You will deliver Electrical Installation lessons on Thursdays and Fridays, mark learner assessments on Wednesdays, and support apprentices as they progress through their programme. Schemes of work and teaching resources are in place to help you deliver efficiently.

The Role
  • Deliver Electrical Installation theory and practical sessions on Thursdays and Fridays
  • Mark learner assessments and coursework on Wednesdays
  • Use existing lesson plans and schemes of work aligned to awarding body standards
  • Provide constructive feedback and support learner progress
  • Maintain workshop safety and compliance standards
  • Help learners achieve qualifications and progression outcomes
The Person
  • Qualified in Electrical Installation at Level 3 or above
  • Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
  • Relevant industry experience within electrical installation
  • Confident communicator with a learner-focused approach
  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
