Prospero Teaching is working closely with a well-regarded independent school in Salisbury, looking to appoint a Teacher of Physical Education to join from September 2026.
The school offers an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and inspiring PE teacher to join a thriving department. Pupils are highly motivated, well‑behaved, and engaged in both academic and extracurricular life. The school places a strong emphasis on sport and physical wellbeing, providing excellent facilities and a broad range of sporting opportunities.
Applications from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged, with appropriate support available where needed. The school is committed to developing the whole individual and values staff willing to contribute to the wider co‑curricular programme.
In addition to a supportive environment and excellent resources, the school offers a 10% uplift on the standard teacher pay scale.

- Minimum rate: MPS / UPS + 10% uplift
- Hours:
8:30 am – 3:30 pm, plus extracurricular commitments, fixtures, parent evenings, and departmental meetings
- QTS or equivalent
- Experience teaching PE in UK secondary schools
- Ability to teach a broad range of sports and activities
- Willingness to contribute to extracurricular sport and school fixtures
- Up‑to‑date safeguarding training issued in the last year
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child‑related references covering the last two years
- Free, accredited CPD courses including safeguarding and behaviour management
- 1:1 interview and trial day preparation from our experienced training and development team and qualified teachers
- Access to online CPD courses (award‑winning upskilling provider – UK Business Awards 2024)
