Are you a patient, empathetic, and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children on a one-to-one basis? Do you have the ability to build strong, trusting relationships and make a meaningful difference in a child's educational journey? If so, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Salisbury is currently seeking a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support to a pupil with additional learning needs. This is a rewarding role where you will play a key part in helping a child access the curriculum, build confidence, and reach their full potential.
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you will tailor your support to meet the individual needs of the pupil, both academically and emotionally. This may include adapting learning materials, managing behaviour positively, and encouraging engagement within the classroom environment.
This position is well suited to a recent graduate considering a career in education, psychology, or SEN, as well as an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a new challenge. Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential. Relevant experience may include mentoring, tutoring, youth work, childcare, or supporting individuals with additional needs.
Experience supporting children with ASD, behavioural challenges, or learning difficulties would be highly beneficial for this role.
