Systems Engineer, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineer, Aerospace / Aviation / Avionics
Work on the most advanced UAV tech available while leading a sharp team of engineers. This will keep your technical edge sharp while giving you the chance to shape the future of unmanned air systems. You’ll get flexible working with just three days per week on-site, allowing you to balance life and work your way.
On top of that, you’ll enjoy a 15% annual bonus, private medical insurance, and the option to buy or sell up to five days’ holiday. There’s also an EV scheme and cycle-to-work programme to keep things practical and cost-effective.
What you’ll doManage and mentor a team of five systems engineers working on UAV integration. You’ll guide their development while keeping close to the engineering yourself, spending around 40% of your time on design and testing.
Design, develop and integrate complex avionics systems including control, navigation, communication and C2 systems. You’ll assess subsystem failures and their impact, ensuring systems stay reliable under pressure. You’ll also create user and maintenance documentation, giving you experience across the full product lifecycle.
What you’ll need- Strong leadership skills with the ability to support and guide other engineers
- Experience designing, developing and testing complex electrical, electronic or software-based systems
- Hands‑on integration experience using hardware rigs to bring systems together
This is for an SME that designs, builds and tests UAVs, largely for military use. With over 200 staff, the team moves fast, allowing you to fail quickly and iterate at speed with rapid prototyping. This gives you the chance to work on advanced aircraft in a setup that supports rapid development and innovation.
