Active Staff are proud to be representing a growing company in the area who are looking to add a Production Engineer to their team. The role of the Production Engineer will be to work closely with Production and Quality teams to solve process challenges, implement improvements, and ensure robust engineering standards are maintained.

- Analyse and improve manufacturing processes using PFMEA and engineering best practices
- Optimise production methods, tooling, and materials with internal teams and suppliers
- Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
- Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction while maintaining quality standards
- Develop and maintain robust processes, including work instructions and control plans
- Enhance efficiency through workflow, layout, and capacity improvements
- Monitor performance and support reporting, costing, and production planning
- Provide technical support across teams and ensure safe working practices
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and manage tooling requirements
- Support APQP activities and maintain accurate process documentation
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline - desirable.
- Minimum 2 years working autonomously or as part of a team in a manufacturing/process/production engineering role within a low to medium manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of APQP core tools (PFMEA, Control Plans, etc.) - desirable.
- Experience with CAD software - desirable.
- Lean Six Sigma knowledge or certification - desirable.
- Relevant technical knowledge in manufacturing and assembly operations
- Good leadership skills
- Strong IT skills
- Problem-solving skills
