As a Senior Weapons Integration Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the efficient, safe and effective conduct of evaluation, test, and trial activities. This will typically encompass air platforms and OME certification, qualification, performance, operability and safety within the role domains.

Day‑to‑day, you’ll provide specialist scientific or technical advice and consultation.

Tasks will encompass the project lifecycle from technical strategy through to delivery, working as part of multidisciplinary teams requiring solution definition efforts that will be delivered in accordance with the associate Project Delivery Plan.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct hazard‑based evaluation and testing of OME integration on various aircraft platforms.
• Ensure equipment and systems are safe for flight and fit for purpose.
• Conduct evaluations on transport, combat, helicopter and unmanned air platforms.
• Perform a range of evaluations for single equipment or role‑related changes to a platform.
• Assess newly introduced aircraft and deliver technical hazard and risk‑based reporting.

Essential experience:

• Expertise in aerospace weapons integration.
• Significant on‑the‑job experience in the aerospace engineering domain.
• Experience with OME and tactical employment of air weapons.
• Knowledge of complex electronic hardware, communications, displays, controls, mission systems, sensors and warning systems.
• Knowledge of OME certification and qualification.
• Knowledge of military or civil aircraft.

Essential qualifications:

• Aerospace or Electronic Engineering (ONC, HNC, or HND), nationally recognised (Eng Tech/IEng) or working towards that accreditation.
• Chartered Engineer (desirable).

This role is 37 hours per week, based at the Boscombe Down site with a minimum average site attendance of three days per week. We can accommodate candidates working from our other UK hubs including Bristol, Salisbury, Waddington, and Warton.
