The roleAs an Aircraft Inspector, you’ll play a key role in supporting aircraft engineering, flight‑line operations, scheduled servicing and maintenance activities across the aircraft fleet. You’ll work with licensed aircraft engineers and technical teams to maintain aircraft to the highest standards of safety, quality and airworthiness.
Day‑to‑day responsibilities include:
- Carrying out scheduled and corrective maintenance activities across the aircraft fleet.
- Supporting aircraft handling, flight‑line operations and daily aircraft preparation activities.
- Completing aircraft and equipment maintenance documentation in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Conducting pre‑use checks and scheduled maintenance of ground support equipment.
- Providing technical support across other sites and participating in operational detachments when required.
- Experience preparing aircraft for flight operations, including aircraft marshalling, fuel and oil replenishment activities.
- Experience working within a military or civilian Part 145 maintenance environment.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and customer‑facing skills.
- Leadership, mentoring or supervisory experience.
- Good IT literacy and experience maintaining technical records.
- Recognised Aircraft Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent qualification in an aerospace discipline.
- Demonstrable practical and theoretical aircraft engineering knowledge.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Military or civilian aircraft engineering experience.
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) / Counter‑Terrorist Check (CTC) security clearance for this role.
