The Finance Operations Assistant (FTC 12-months) supports the effective financial management of Tedaisy by implementing processes that ensure compliance with regulations and enhance operational accuracy and efficiency.

What you'll do:

• Adhere to and promote the Company’s financial procedures and compliance standards.
• Coordinate and execute Claims financial transactions and activities, such as payment of invoices, and ensuring all customer premiums are up to date.
• Maintain accurate financial records for claims using internal systems and spreadsheets.
• Checking customer premium payments and support refunds for over payments.
• Arranging recovery of claim over payments, ensuring leakage is under 1%.
• Collaborate with other teams to resolve financial discrepancies and errors.
• Respond to financial queries from colleagues, clients, and stakeholders professionally and accurately.
• Assist in preparing regular claims financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify financial trends, irregularities, or errors through data analysis.
• Support automation initiatives for streamlining claims payments.
• Participate in audits by providing necessary data and insights

Experience, Qualifications & Skills

• Working knowledge of financial processes within the insurance industry (or similar), with an understanding of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
• Maths GSCE or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a finance or insurance operations role (e.g. Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, or similar) is preferable.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Confident in using Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet tools to manage and analyse data.
• An analytical mindset with the ability to identify discrepancies and trends.
• A proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving and team interaction.

Hours:Monday – Friday, 35 hours per week

Pay:£24,500 per annum
