Deputy Accountable Pharmacist - Aseptic Services

We are currently seeking an experienced Deputy Accountable Pharmacist - Aseptic Services to join a leading NHS pharmacy team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced aseptic pharmacist looking to take on a senior role within a specialist production unit.

The Role

As the Deputy Accountable Pharmacist, you will support the Accountable Pharmacist in ensuring the safe, effective and compliant delivery of aseptic pharmacy services. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of quality assurance, regulatory compliance and patient safety within the aseptic unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day to day management of the aseptic pharmacy service.
  • Deputise for the Accountable Pharmacist when required.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, MHRA and national aseptic standards.
  • Provide professional leadership and expert pharmaceutical advice.
  • Support quality management systems, audits and investigations.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver a high quality aseptic service.
  • Contribute to service development, governance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Registered Pharmacist with the GPhC.
  • Significant current experience working as a Pharmacist within an aseptic pharmacy service is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP and aseptic manufacturing practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Full time position (37.5 hours per week).
  • Competitive hourly rate or salary depending on experience.
