As our Technical and Production Assistant, you'll play a key role in our video production process. Researching, testing, setting up, and handling the latest tech to help create high-quality, tech-focused online content.
You would constantly have to keep up with the latest smartphones, smart watches, headphones, buds, computers, operating systems, apps, gadgets, AI and tech news as part of this role!
This is a fast-paced, hands‑on role for someone who’s naturally curious, detail-oriented, and genuinely excited by new technology where no two days look the same.
Key Responsibilities- Testing Tech: The bulk of your time will be spent physically testing AND setting up new tech and software by following the research on the relevant products, gadgets or software.
- Tech Research: We will need you to support the team with researching tech products, applications or software.
- Production Support: An important aspect of this role will be the in-person tech support, and troubleshooting in the studio or other shooting locations. Support in set prep and ensuring that everything is ready for shooting.
- Printing scripts, set preps, support with general prep for filming/shooting.
- Physically supporting with technical troubleshooting during filming.
- In-Studio Support: Keep studio spaces organized, manage inventory, and receive deliveries.
- General Operations & Logistics: A key aspect of this role is ensuring that the relevant resources make their way to the studio, or wherever may be needed for production.
- Has a significant level of knowledge in consumer technology (Particularly smartphones, but also other main areas).
- Is a keen team‑player and will support the team wherever needed to attain the end goal.
- Has a general to basic understanding of content creation, filming and the relevant steps in the production process.
- Is a systematic thinker, can troubleshoot and problem‑solve on the fly.
Salary £32 000 – £36 000 per year
Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week (Occasional weekends and overtime might be needed from time to time)
28 annual leave days per annum (including Bank Holidays)
