We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our Technology Operations team at Landmarc Solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting, maintaining and developing the technology infrastructure that enables our business to operate effectively across the UK. The role has a strong focus on enterprise infrastructure, Windows Server environments, Active Directory, virtualisation, storage, backup and cloud technologies.

Working as part of a collaborative technology team, you will help deliver secure, reliable and high-performing IT services while contributing to infrastructure improvements, modernisation projects and the ongoing adoption of Microsoft Azure technologies.

Role Details

Salary: £46,800.00 – £57,200.00 (DOE)

Location:

Westdown Camp, Tilshead, Salisbury, Wiltshire, SP3 4RS

Contract:

Permanent - Hybrid (2 days on-site)

Hours:

37 per week Monday to Friday

What You'll Do
  • Manage and maintain core infrastructure platforms including Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra  (Azure AD), Hyper‑V, storage and backup environments.
  • Support system monitoring, patch management, vulnerability remediation and disaster recovery activities to ensure secure and resilient services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, server and application issues, providing technical expertise across the organisation.
  • Support infrastructure upgrades, technology refresh programmes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with the migration of services and workloads to Microsoft Azure.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Technology Operations, Security, Development and Project teams to deliver technology solutions.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, operational procedures and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to users and stakeholders across the business.

What We're Looking For Essential
  • At least 3 years' experience in an Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Engineer, Systems Administrator or IT Operations role.
  • Strong experience supporting Windows Server environments.
  • Good understanding of:
  • Active Directory and Microsoft Entra  (Azure AD)
  • Virtualisation technologies, particularly Hyper‑V
  • Storage, backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Power Shell scripting and automation
  • IT Service Management processes
  • ITIL v4 Foundation certification.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Desirable
  • Experience of one or more of the following would be advantageous:
  • Microsoft Azure administration and cloud services
  • Infrastructure modernisation or cloud migration projects
  • SCCM / Microsoft Configuration Manager
  • SCVMM
  • Solar Winds
  • HPE server and storage platforms
  • Networking technologies (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
  • Cyber security and vulnerability management
  • Microsoft 365 administration
